New painting in the illustration gallery, done especially for the Renaissance Faire. This girl with the flowers in her hair was done in acrylic inks, watercolors, and colored pencils. I absolutely love celtic knotwork, and want to work more on decorative boarders and embellishing my work. This was the perfect opportunity to do so. I am also obligated to paint quite a bit this summer, so I figured that I’d better get one major piece done early before I got so busy. I’m really busy right now. I don’t know when I’ll have time to make another painting this involved.
This painting was also another step towards developing a style. I’m working on it. I have a definite direction that I’m moving in, but it’s going to take a lot more work.
Prints of this painting are available now on Etsy.
