Happy Halloween, everyone! Somehow after a vow-renewal and a mini-moon to Florida we still managed to have a spooky costumed Halloween-weekend. This holiday is a priority.
So what did we wear? Saturday we sponsored a hole at a spooky Disc-golf tournament where we won the costume contest in our raiders-from-the-north garb. Mostly sewn (or hammered together in the case of the leather) by me, assembled from pre-existing bits the night before. No heavy belts because you need to move the hips to throw a disk.
The next evening Lord and Lady Allen attended the Phantoms by Firelight Festival at Old Sturbridge Village. The village is set in 1830, so that’s the vibe we were going for. I repurposed my bridal jacket and paired it with my traveling cloak, not yet worn to a fair because it is pretty heavy and warm. Perfect for an evening event! These costumes, sewn by me, once again assembled from existing bits day-of.
The festival was great! Spectacular spooky performances.
Of course we couldn’t leave the dogs out entirely. Friday night we had a little dress-up session from random costume bits in the bin. Created some sort of strange griffin….
