The latest addition to the doggie obstacle course growing in the side yard is a giant A-frame that Jake built. The dogs LOVE it. He found instructions online and built the whole thing by hand out of the garage.
Jake spent a whole day sanding to make sure we don’t have any doggie-splinters, and the paint should help with making the wood safer as well. The pool noodle at the top is also for safety so that no one puts a paw in the hinge. The whole thing is adjustable too; by lengthening or shortening the chain the ramp can be made steeper or more shallow.
Unprompted the dogs play on it freely as part of their own yard-chase games, but it’s also a lot of fun to work into the larger obstacle course with the hurdles and tunnel. You can see the whole course to-date in the video below. We’re building doggie-confidence and fitness!
