Now that we’ve finally completed our unit on perspective in my drawing for illustration class, we have moved on to anatomy of the human body. We are starting with the skeleton and have been learning all the proportions and ways that the skeleton can move. Drawing from a magazine is an easy way to practice the skeleton. You just draw the model in the ad, only you subtract her skin and clothing and only draw her bones. It’s pretty fun and some of the drawings look really funny. I especially like this one that I drew of an underwear ad. Maybe I’ll upload some more skeleton women if I happen to create more that I find particularly funny or satisfying.
Learning about the body.
