W00t! After weeks of learning and working and trying and re-trying, I finally fulfilled several of my web goals. I have learned how to build a simply website from scratch using HTML. I have learned some very handy basics of the coding language, and I have found ways to manipulate this knowledge into a working subdomain filled with my art–now well organized. Previously, I had been limited to two galleries on my site, which I put on two of my limited number of pages. These limitations are the result of using a host-provided template. But with this new subdomain, I built everything myself from my computer, and so I defined the limitations. And I can change those limitations at any time.
With my new powers, I have joined forces with Flickr to house and organize all of my artwork and generate the code to make 9 new galleries, all on their own pages, each housing a different denomination of work. Now, you can visit my galleries either by clicking on a link on the “Artwork” page on Shaunart.net–the same way that you have always accessed pictures of my work–or by typing galleries.shaunart.net into your web browser.
Now that I’ve told you about it, and about how proud I am for working so tirelessly on this, GO CHECK IT OUT.
