Yesterday I participated in the Mother to Mother annual community yard sale at the Memorial school in Burlington, Ma. Participation is open to the community and the purpose of the event is to draw more traffic to local treasure sellers by combining a bunch of smaller yard sales into a one stop shopping experience for buyers.
Though the weather was terrible all day, we still had a better turn out than anyone would have had trying to advertise their own sale in their front yard.
Before a sudden down-pour forced everyone to frantically pack up early, I did managed to snag two pieces for myself from other vendors.
The first is this wooden chair. My old desk chair was actually for a drafting table and was too high for my desk. I was always hitting my knees on my desk while trying to work. This chair is the appropriate height, matches my new room, is in great condition, and folds up nicely so that I can move it out of the way, should I ever need more floor space.
The second treasure that I found is this green pot (plant not included). Previously, my angel plant was in a white pot with chipping paint. It was time for an update and this ceramic planter is just what I needed.
I love yard sale season!
