A little late, but….Damage During Hurricane Irene.

I honestly forgot that I took these pictures. I moved back into school the day after the storm and there just wasn’t time to upload them at the time, and I just rediscovered them on my memory card.

There was a tree, and part of that tree was in the road.

My town was good about cleaning up right away.

Here's that branch after the bulldozer pushed it out of the road

Here's a good one: this rock wall across the street from my house collapsed during a strong gust of wind. Over-saturated earth probably helped too.

Fortunately there was not a lot of damage to private property on my street. A few trees down, barrels blown away, but no one was hurt and the storm honestly wasn’t as bad as we had all prepared for. But better to always be prepared!
